These lessons are tailored completely to the individual. It is an excellent opportunity to learn exactly what your body needs and progress at an appropriate rate for you. Each session will be different depending on what skills are being learned and what piece of equipment you are working on. Private lessons give you the most comprehensive experience of the Pilates method. Privates are recommended for people new to Pilates, those who are injured, and anyone interested in gaining a deeper knowledge of the work.

Like private lessons, duets expose you to all of the equipment and give you access to the entire Pilates repertoire of exercises. Most of the time both participants will be performing the same exercises at the same time and modifications will be given as needed to address possible differences in ability. You can come with your own duet partner or Jessica can help match you up with someone.

In group classes you will learn the classic mat exercises. Guidance is more general than private or duet lessons, but still theme oriented. Jessica will use one or two concepts and pull them through the entire workout. Although exercises are repeated each week, your approach and thought process will be different. New exercises will be learned when the overall strength of the group is ready. As with duets, modifications will be given to address differences in ability. No equipment is used in mat classes. Epicenter Pilates provides mats and any props that might be used during class.
